posted on by Egan Loo
The September issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine will announce on August 6 that Yū Minamoto's Asu no Yoichi! romantic comedy manga will be animated for television. The titular character Yoichi decides to leave his family's mountainside home after his father tells him there is nothing more he can learn in martial arts there. The teenaged boy ends up in a martial arts dojo in the city with four girls. The manga has been running in Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine from the spring of 2006 until now, and its eighth compiled volume will ship in Japan in August. Shōnen Champion's September issue will have a Asu no Yoichi! poster along with the anime announcement.
