Lollipop Chainsaw Game's Action Promo Streamed
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Japan's official YouTube channel for Lollipop Chainsaw hack-and-slash video game began streaming an action promotional video on Friday. The 170-second video showcases many of the protagonist Juliet Starling's basic, combination, and Nick attacks as well as the game's various weapons and action styles.
A previous voice cast introduction video revealed that Tara Strong (Batman: Arkham City's Harley Quinn) will star as Juliet Starling, and Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville's Lex Luthor) will play Nick, her decapitated-head boyfriend, in the game's English version.
James Gunn, writer-director of this year's film Super, co-writer of the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead, and writer-director of the films Tromeo and Juliet and Slither, is supervising the game's story scenario. Suda51 (No More Heroes) is acting as creative director for the game. Grasshopper Manufacture (Heroman, Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact) and Kadokawa Games are co-producing Lollipop Chainsaw, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will release the game outside of all Asian territories.
Lollipop Chainsaw is slated for a June 12 release in North America on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The game will ship in Europe on June 13, followed by a release in Japan on June 14.
