I like that mecha design tbh.

So many mecha series this year but I think this will have potential.

Gen Urobuchi involved=Worth checking out.

His work is consistently good, if not great.

Fate Zero director, Gargantia writer, and most importantly music by Sawano?

Hell yeah!! I'm on board and I yet have to see the trailer (I don't have my headphones right now).

Don't care for the character designs, but the rest of the staff is pretty great. I'm going to give it a chance.

The PV is giving me a vibe of an amazing anime that will be born in the summer. Can't wait to see more of it.

New Butcher show, new Watanabe show. A remake of Sailor Moon that I'm going to watch at least one episode of, probably a couple more shows I've forgotten about July is going to be awesome.

And seeing Takao Shimura design against type is hilarious.

I'm pretty happy to see that mecha shows are making a comeback these days as it's the genre that really got me started on anime. I just wish that they'd give us more information on the recently announced Macross tv series!

Blassreiter was pretty bad, music and occasional bits of fantastic animation aside.

Plus the Phantom anime was pretty lackluster compared to the source material and he helped out with both the original VN and the anime.

Urobuchi has a mixed track record too when it comes to mecha shows. I really want this to be good but I can't help but feel a little on edge about it.

Still not seeing how this is supposed to surpass Gundam. It takes more than just throwing overexposed writers and composers at a show to redefine a genre forever.

Well the mech part push my button, but the princess REALLY unpush them. Plus the fact that they describe the MC has logical makes me think he's going to grow out of being logical and the show will make it seems like a good things, so we'll probably have "use your emotion to power the mech" Blargh

Interesting premise and excellent staff aside... Does the princess' first name rhyme with 'asylum'?? Confused

The music sounds just like Shingeki no Kyojin and Kill la Kill's. Still excellent but Mr Sawano might want to mix things up a bit going forward, stylistic trademarks (the choir) aside.

As for the fact that Mr Urobuchi is attached to this I might just have to pass. Everything he's done has been boring as hell to me and that's because of one reason: his characters.

He's got the ideas, though, will give him that (cool premise for Psycho Pass and to an extent Madoka, which was awful as hell in my opinion).

His characters (from Madoka to Kiritsugu to Tsunemori to Ledo) just suck major ass in the likability and being able to identify with them (if you don't like them) department and when those two things are lacking it's pretty hard to get stuck in the world he's created since the characters are supposed to be the viewer's proxy.

(Fate Zero was a prime example, one of the worst anime I've ever watched. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth to this day)
