And all I can think is how long it will be before it ends in horrific pain and/or injury.

I also ponder this, but only time can tell that tale.
Anywho that's really impressive!

This reminds of the people who were trying to make real Air Treks.

Very amazing. I can tell a lot of sweat and effort was put into making it.

I am wondering whether there is a way to shoot a much more powerful anchor......the dude might want to investigate how guns shoot bullets, and implement that idea to shooting the anchor. Similar can be done on how the wire recoils to create a tension between the point of anchor and the user of the gear.
The amazing thing is, the individual components of the gear can easily be made if you know some basic physics, but as long as you have dedication, then you can even combine the individual components into a true 3D maneuvering gear.

He needs to wear this to Comiket, no ifs, buts or maybes. Maybe he can make another set and go with a girl cosplaying as Mikasa.

I have yet to watch Attack on Titan (but I'm going to get around to doing so. I just have other things on my agenda), but all I can say is that guy and this guy should like.... meet, open a shop and run a business together or something.

Man AOT is really getting a lot of plug for a series that just started. Mind you the manga isn't even finished yet. And I though this was going to be one of those series that would grab one's attention and then kind of drop somewhere.

The manga was published in 2009, that's 4 years.
