Called it...NOW Toonami is must-see (stay up for) TV for me...

As for the pricing model, it has me intrigued. I haven't seen SAO yet so I'll hold my thoughts on whether I want the set. That said, if Fate/Zero had this pricing model (Blu-Ray with dub), suddenly I have to really think about it.

Aniplex previously released Blue Exorcist in four bilingual DVD sets in 2011-2012.

Noooooooooo they didn't!! Those DVD sets were sub-only. They also sold rather poorly because of that and the fact that the video quality was pretty bad.

Regardless, I doubt I'll be buying AoA's release. They're probably going to ask over $100 a set, so I'll be more than happy to import the Manga UK release instead. Cool

Should provide a boost for Toonami, though I'll definitely be staying away.

It'll be $112 MSRP per 5-7 episodes on BD.

Makes sense, but good luck convincing the poor Toonami-watching teens to pay hundreds for the series.

Sword Art Online on Toonami? I can get behind that.

Though I'd much prefer that it'd be Accel World. Maybe that'll be next?

I'm sure the hundreds of thousand viewers it's already got are already purchasing the current shows at "reasonable prices." [/sarcasm]

It may sell less than that, but most TV viewers won't buy discs anyways.

Oh man, oh jeez. I can already smell the brewing shitstorm for when they get to the second half of the show.

It should give them boost at first, however the teens that watch Toonami are not intended audience for this show so I am expecting halfway through its run it will start losing general Toonami audience.

You just contradicted yourself: "already purchasing" and "won't buy discs". Are they buying DVDs/BDs for Toonami anime, or not?

They're not. First sentence is sarcasm. Second sentence is not.

If that was meant to be sarcasm, it was impossible to detect.

I apologize for not making myself clear. I'll edit my original post.
