Glad to see that they are hoping to release Gundam Age over here. I also found their responses to the questions concerning Gundam IGLOO and ZZ very interesting.

I definitely think that the ZZ comment is important. I can't wait for Otakon.

Some interesting information but I have to question the logic of releasing Gundam ZZ when Z failed in America. I think the person thinking that certain Gundam series where out of print when they where not says a lot about the status of Gundam. You can get most Gundam series pretty cheaply.

Being a person that will buy pretty much anything Gundam, this whole panel was very interesting to me (and potentially expensive).

I think at this point they have no delusions on how well older UC series's will sell over here. There probable just wanting to release the rest of Gundam for the hard core fans and possibly introduce a few new fans to the franchise in the process. From a commercial point of view I would have to agree with you though. I definitely don't see ZZ selling well. But, I'm not complaining if they want to bring it over. As long as it doesn't put them out of business. But, I'm sure they wouldn't even attempt to bring it over if they thought they were going to loose that much money on it.

I think the only way to guarantee ZZ coming out is support the upcoming release of the original show. Though I've heard Bandai say that the only question when it comes to Gundam is not if they're releasing it or have it, but when.

If ZZ does get picked up, that almost guarantees the fact that V and X WILL get picked up, so I'm really stoked if it turns out to be true. They'd be the last two series to see the light of day, and while Tomino hating V and X being a black sheep, it would almost guarantee they will be here eventually. (C'mon folks, ZZ doesn't exactly have a sterling reputation on either side of the water, so considering it has to be something pretty positive. I do hear ZZ Gundam is supposed to be on Bandai's radar for SOMETHING coming up shortly, could it be this?)

I wish they would have talked about Frozen Teardrop and why they're allowing that garbage to be written (and if it ever sees the light of day as an anime I'll be really pissed).
Otherwise, my wallet will be quite empty if this stuff comes out.

From what I have seen ZZ Gundam didn't do that bad in Japan, it doesn't have the same stigma that V Gundam, and Gundam X has in Japan. Keep in mind that V Gundam's poor sales was the reason that Bandai went in such a radical direction with G Gundam.

I was the fan that asked about Gundam Age being released simultaneously world-wide. I was really hoping it would be streamed on Crunchyroll or something as not to entice fans to download fansubs. But at least we know it's been licensed.
