This is going to be awesome. Glad to see the Lain staff working on something new in this down time.

Awesome! I am sooo glad that Animage is still around. I still have the first issue kicking around somewhere.... That was one of my favorite magazines for anime for a long time.

Yes! Here's hoping it will be in the vein of Lain, since the writer and director are on board. Headache-inducing anime -- like Serial Experiments Lain -- are the best kind.

That greenish hue reminds me of Texhnolyze.

I'm always interested in what Abs up to. I hope this one is at least as good as Lain. I wonder if Triangle Staff is going to be handling the animation and I wonder whose going to adapt Abs character designs.

Nonetheless though, Konoka and ABe working together means this things gonna be nothing short of a masterpiece. Can't wait to see it, headache and all.

I was worried that Konaka might've been busy with other things that refrained him from joining the Despera project at the start.
I examined the picture, and what's with all the high-tech equipments? Kind of reminds me of what you find in the bad guy's base in Shadow Hearts and Raidou Kuzunoha that also take place in the Taisho period. I hope it indicates that this is going to be more than just a historical anime.
Can't wait for more details.

Pajmo9, Triangle Staff has been disbanded since their last animation works in 2000. I have a feeling ABe, Konaka and Nakamura may approach Rondo Robe or Madhouse for collaboration, as both of these studios have worked with the three one way or another before.

Taken from Moon Phase, a spread of Despera and the main character Ain.

Fascinating. I've also liked just about any project I remember ABe's been involved with, which bodes well for this one too.
