I’m glad they got this but I’m still mad they couldn’t also get Takemine San, granted imma blame Crunchyroll more than them, but still the ONE time I WANT an anime to be on HiDIVE it’s the ONE anime they DONT get.

It's the adaptation of all-age version.

Crunchyroll probably would have gotten this one. It's just that Sentai just put in the higher bid, and Crunchy had a ton of others on their plate already.

Crunchy most likely not gone for that either, considering the sensitive ecchi material - which usually ends up on HIDIVE these years.

As far as simulcasts go, they streamed Tales of Wedding Rings uncensored last year. So there's really no telling how Takamine-san will turn out until it goes up. |
I'm just gonna quote this guy's comment from CR's lineup announcement which is basically how I feel regarding CR's stance on more hardcore ecchi stuff. Worth noting CR did later upload the slightly (albeit not completely) uncensored version of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World after it finished airing in 2022.

Yeah, look guys. I'm pretty sure this is just the HIDIVE Brand at this point. Rather, this has always been the Sentai Brand. They get things that are too hot for Crunchyroll/Funimation. Sure, sometimes they go out and get a No Game No Life or an Angel Beats or a Sakamoto or a Made in Abyss, but mostly? It's stuff like this. No complaining from me about that though. If they'd just fix up their subtitle font and the awkward placement of sometimes putting the subtitles too close to the middle of the screen for my comfort, I'd totally get yearly subscriptions to them again.

I mean, this is totally a HIDIVE show.
Also if I had a nickel for every Reverse Isekai with an elf named Mariabelle, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's strange it happened twice.

Well, this is the show that'll carry Hidive afloat for the next 3 months, as they only licensed 3 new titles as part of their spring anime season line-up. They know weebs are horny af so they only needed one ecchi show (mildly censored, so expect something like maybe Redo of Healer) and that's it!
Also, in case no one noticed, they're announcing a lot of titles are leaving Hidive thru the next month:
Hentai Prince & the Stony Cat
Real Girl
Revue Starlight
ALICE or ALICE
Flowers of Evil
Utano Prince Sama 2000%
Cutie Honey Universe
Yuyushiki
DOREIKU The Animation
Devil Survivor 2: The Animation
Locke The Superman
Venus Wars
Utano Prince Sama 1000%
Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions - Take on Me!

I am relieved Sentai was able to license this ecchi show. With Crunchyroll snatching Takemine-san (granted it is a Kadokawa title) there were no guarantees.

But usually "licensed by HIDIVE" means "not for anyone else in the rest of the world"*.
* Except sometimes for some Middle Eastear, or French platforms.

You call anime such 100 Girlfriends, Tales of Wedding Rings, High School DxD, Valkyrie Drive Mermaid, Senran Kagura, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, and etc. "too hot for Crunchyroll"? The only anime I know of that Sentai ever licensed that was as close to "too hot for Crunchyroll" as it could get was Redo of Healer (anyone could have gotten it, considering it lacked what Interspecies Reviewers had that turned off any company other than Media Blasters).
Media Blasters is the only company that licenses anime that are truly too hot for Crunchyroll (and Sentai).
