Too bad Canada - no more hentai for you!
But just what they said - that is what you get for voting conservative - get out and vote and get your anime rights restored! |

So these two companies now get to keep company with the Little Sisters Book and Art Emporium eh? Well not really since Little Sisters had their material confiscated when they were importing books. These two US companies are exporting inadmissible material to Canada. Anyways, I think the ultimate irony would be if one were to find the same titles, in their original Japanese versions, on bookstore shelves in Canada. Yup, you can import those materials as long as most of the population can't read them. Hmmm. That would be funny.
PS: Subsection 163(8) of the Criminal Code of Canada was not put in place by the current Tory government. Also of interest: The date on the Supreme Court of Canada ruling on the Little Sisters case was Dec 15, 2000. The judgement can be read here: http://csc.lexum.umontreal.ca/en/2000/2000scc69/2000scc69.html. Last edited by d.yaro on Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:21 am; edited 1 time in total |

Actually, it doesn't really matter which party is in power - Customs will always be Customs. The people who are paid to regulate the importation of fruits and vegetables will make their own judgments on what they consider "morally acceptable" for the country, and they will never give a good reason for it.
Oh, and read through those importation blacklists on Gohmorray if you ever get a chance. They can be downright hilarious sometimes.
Not as funny as instances of Customs seizing manuscripts being sent back from US publishers to their original Canadian authors. It happens frequently, believe it or not. Last edited by Pepperidge on Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:14 am; edited 1 time in total |

Given that KM is media blaster's porn arm. I would like to say, it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of goits.
Where's your Voltron now, (w)itch?! |

I've asked Americans I've talked to if this is true: The US doesn't sell ketchup flavoured potato chips. THEY NEVER HEARD OF 'EM!!
So I say, keep yer hentai! Nothin beats ketchup chips! *munch munch* |

Considering that mosts of those hentai titles are utter trash anyway, I really don't care. Too bad the canucks are too offended by anime porn to let this past.
BTW I just found out that Media Blaster's headquarters are in YNC like CPM but wait a minute? Aren't most of Kitty's hentai dubs which are actually dubbed by ex-porn actors recorded in San Fernando,CA the heart of the adult market? |

heh, I registered just so I could answer this. US does sell ketchup flavored potato chips, I've had them ... but my opinion is that I think they don't taste that much different than BBQ flavored. Ketchup and BBQ = the same flavor? Doesn't seem possible but I guess in my case it is |

At least *our* milk doesn't come with bovine growth hormone. Also, I remember for quite a while I had a lot of trouble finding the directors' cuts (read: uncut) of Kite and Mezzo Forte. I swear, *nobody* could get 'em. Kitty Media released those, and those have been impossible to find up here for years! I truly did get lucky to find them how and when I did. $40 each, and I still believe it was worth it. |
