Ah Noein, how I love this anime so much! It's hard to put my finger on why exactly I feel that way. I do like how the show will stop in the middle of things and give more history about some of the characters. This volume in particular features Haruka in that "ringing telephone" situation. I thought that episode was very well done. The music is another thing I like. Especially the pieces that have a choir-like sound; if you get my meaning. It gives it a more grandeous feel. One final thing is how smart the story is. You can't be sleepy while watching this or some details will fly right past you. Repeat viewings are a must.(Thanks SciFi Smile ).

It's really sad that the release date for vol 5 was pushed back to ....late Sept. I believe. Ah well, I wouldn't want it to be over too fast. It'll be worth the wait.

Noein certainly does have an interesting visual style, personally I preferred the fight scenes in the previous volume better. the sketchy, unfinished look was so different, and they appeared to have smoothed it a bit in this one. I agree that it took some wind out of the drama when Yu got calm, but I am definitely looking forward to Vol. 5 Very Happy

Apparently, the 5th volume already came out yesterday, go and look on the releases on this site. Of coarse, it may be a mistake because I don't see why they drop out of the three month schedule right at the end. I'm behind though because my video releases store has 1, 2 and 4, and I'm not continuing to buy them until I see volume three!

I just looked it up, and the new release date for volume 5 is 9-18-07.
Only a month away Smile

this is one of the most coolest and different sci-fi anime I've seen yet. I just wish it would come out already :p

Which is curious, because I'd swear I saw a commercial on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday block earlier tonight which advertised the first 5 volumes as being currently available.

Interesting. However, I have Noein 5 on pre-order from TRSI and it hasn't shipped yet (and it says Sept 18th, though I won't be surprised if it ships a bit earlier than that).

Well, I subscribe to TRSI's weekly e-newsletter, and at the end of said letter they display availability date changes. A couple of weeks ago, Noein vol 5 was one of the listings. Unfortunately, the list never gives reasons for the changes.

I tried to space out these five episodes so the wait for the last volume wouldn't be as painful. This DVD was amazing and Kazuki Akane's series continue to amaze me. I think it's funny that I originally ordered this DVD a year ago back in August 2006 along with Tactics 5 and Karas 2. Still at $10.79 for 5 episodes it is quite the deal.
