I do enjoy the unexpected, last-minute anime schedule additions. Makes things even more interesting.

Whoa did this anime just came out of the blue from nowhere? Wonder what was their thought process. I'd think companies would do some marketing beforehand to spread visibility and drum up interest before airing; sounds like they are confident that the story is good enough to speak for itself.

Edit:
Did/will any site pick it up for streaming in U.S.?

The series was already developed back in China and the PV was released in March:

Ah so it's a Chinese Donghua getting a Japanese dub. Apparently it was announced way back in 2018.
