I swear if this actually winds up with a completely different English cast from both the previous Rebuilds and the Netflix series, I am going to laugh my ass off til the end of the movie.

what are the chances it even being dub? prime anime that get license are Sub or least to my knowledge..

The article says:

Looking forward to this. I hope I have time to re-watch the previous movies (it's funny --- I have the DVDs, but would just prefer to stream them).

I want to be excited to watch it but man I was really looking forward to watching in IMAX and 4DX here in America. My small screen at my house won’t do justice for this film. Imma refrain from watching it on Amazon and hopefully they do a theatrical release. I feel like in his desire to maintain creative control over Evangelion, Hideaki Anno is just butchering overseas licensing of Evangelion. I just really hope they don’t redub and recast the entire 4 rebuild series like Netflix with new voice actors.

I'm fine with the FUNimation cast returning or VSI Group(Netflix) cast redubbing all the movies, I just don't want Amazon to hire Universal Cinergia Dubbing to redub all the movies. That company dubs in multiple languages which might be enticing to Amazon when they want to make 10 dubs for the movie. I really hope that doesn't happen.

And I feel like an anime film being streamed internationally with 10 dubs 6 months after hitting theatres is way faster and lucrative than we usually get.

I still want to know if it'll be possible to rent this in HD or 4K as I would prefer to do this than subscribe to Amazon Video just to watch the film.

Latin American fans always dread when they are involved,especially if they decide to do Spanish and Portuguese dubs in Miami,where the bottom of the barrel dubs are done(just ask the Latin American fans of My Hero Academia...)

Amazon Prime has also been using Sysdub for their Latin American dubs of their movies and occasionally series, the only issue is that some of the voice actors don't even work at Sysdub
