I hope that they do better then what Square Enix did.
Jeez, words I thought that would never ... type on my keyboard.

Yeah, the FMA is one of the best anime shows I've ever seen but the games were a joke. When the no. 1 complaint about a game is the lack of co-op, you add co-op. I've lost almost all hope for anime based games.

So wait, are these going to be US made titles or are we going to see more FMA games from Japan? There is one I have heard about that apparently plays similarly to the Narultimate Hero series and because of that it's piqued my interest. However if this new series of games will be made in the US then this news is rather disappointing if not downright depressing. Anyone even bother with Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament? The game was a joke and a horrible experience (and I love YuYu), so I'm praying FMA doesn't get a similar treatment.

.... I would really like to see how this turns out. Hopefully the voices won't sound static-y during the game-play. I mean, that game really disappointed me, being a S-E game 'n all.

No 2 will be way too friggn' short. Come one, SE to pump out 50-100 hour gameplay games like no ones biz, but FMA are only 10-15 hours long. That would work if the games came out the door with a $20-$25 dollar price tag, not with $50.

I enjoyed the first two games mainly for their storyline, not for their gameplay. I've been eagerly waiting for US release info on Dream Carnival and the 3rd game in the series, but since it's been nothing but silence, I doubt it will be released.
But it see,s this will be an original game, not something made in Japan and imported here. Mainly since the word "Create" is used in their press release, and it appears to me that Destineer only creates PC Based video games.
Bummer.

You can only pull water from the well for so long. I have a feeling this won't be as good as people hope.

So, what...? I suppose the line will include the GBA games, the DS game, and (hopefully) Dream Carnival and the 3rd PS2 game.
That sounds like a varity of systems to me~ I hope that's what they are planning~

At least those fans in North America are lucky to be able to play the FMA PS2 games because SquareEnix in their so-called infinite wisdom won't even release the games over here in Europe!
And I admit, these new games that Funimation are doing in conjunction with Destineer kind of leave me with a feeling of dread...

Square-Enix did not make any FMA games! Those three PS2 FMA games that were published by SE were made by Racjin, which is the reason for their quality. SE can't be bothered with developing anime cash ins, after all. They just want the profits.

Picky. None the less, Racjin and SE did horrible job with with Fullmetal Alchemist 1 and 2. If you publish a bad anime cash in, you still done bad. SE name is tied to it both in the US and Japan.

I agree, but I was simply trying to bring to everyone's intention that SE wasn't the only factor involved in the quality of these games.

Thank you for mentioning that. A lot of gamers always think that every game SE puts out is made by SE staff from start to finish and completly disregard the other studio that had a bigger hand in creating it.
