I do not think that red clothes (for Coke) and turquoise hair would look nice. This will still be intresting.

Looking up images of her in a Santa outfit, I'd have to disagree. At any rate, as long as the winning design also features the polar bears somehow, I'll be happy.

Why not just get the original creators of Miku to do this? Is coca-cola that stingy with their money that they need fan drawings instead of the originals?

It's not about cost at all. Rather, this sort of interactive contest is a way to stir up both fanbases with relatively little effort, and better still, can have a second phase when it comes time to pick a winner.

You may be right, but I also believe that there is a little of what I'm saying, is going on at coca-cola. It's very hard to see a good side in most corporations, when you see what they sometimes do.
