I read that Central Park Media lost the rights to the "Overfiend" series a few years ago. I just wanted to know if anybody knows if this is true? Also, would anyone know if Central Park (or, if they did lose the rights, then any anime company) is releasing information on whether the Overfiend series might be redistributed in the future? (to anyone asking why I am posting this: I just bought The Legend of the Overfiend and I thought it was great, so now I'm trying to track down the rest of the (original) series, but I know that the original DVD releases were 10 years ago, or something like that, so I figured its going to tough)(also, I posted a similar topic in the 'Encyclopedia' section, because I didn't know which area my question falls under)

It looks like you want Urotsukidoji: The Perfect Collection from CPM. Your best bet is amazon market or ebay if you want to find that. I'm kind of surprised there aren't more kicking around. There are a few Japanese DVDs as well but they won't have subs and they were printed in 2000 just like the CPM release so they're equally difficult to find. Crunchyroll might get it...

No CPM never lost the rights when they discontinued their Anime 18 titles, they will release Overfiend along with it's tamer little sister edition La Blue Girl under their Critical Mass company soon.
Now as for the series itself, I didn't really like it. Its one of the most violent and horrific Tentacle Hentais I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. Now don't get me wrong I love watching Hentai but Overfiend is something else entirely, I'm just not a fan of violent rape scenes or extreme tentacle sex. This show and it's sequel New Saga were just too much for me. View at you're own risk my friend... |

Really!? Wow, FINALLY! Does anyone know when the Overfiend titles are going to be released? And does anyone know if these new releases are going to be edited (like before) or are we going to finally see them uncut?
