I loved the anime and I found out that there was a manga, but apparently it wasn't released in North America. Anyway I assume that this won't be released here? Just wondered, because if the manga is as good as the series, I'd definately get it.

The manga is pretty controversial, that's one thing I think that is pointed out when they are trying to license the series. Violence, even lolicon issues per se. However, if Gantz, which runs in the same magazine as Elfen Lied used to run in got licensed and has been seeing releases over here, then surely some time in the future we will be seeing Elfen Lied get licensed and released. Until then, you need to know how to speak Japanese.
