Okay, I see the relevance of Mononoke Hime, but having a manga for the X-Files does not tie the movie to anime AT ALL.

I think he just means that the "non-anime roles" part of her profile needs to be updated with this info. I don't think he's trying to say the movie is tied to anime in any way.
Unless I'm misunderstanding him, which is certainly a possibility. Regardless, I went ahead and added it.

Okay, but I don't think even the X-Files would qualify for non-anime, because isn't that normally for video games?

Nope, take a look at Anna Paquin or Patrick Stewart for two examples. Both list movies and television shows for their other roles. On the other hand, the "other roles" portion isn't incredibly accurate as if you check their profiles on IMDB, they have a much longer list there than is listed here on ANN. When all is said and done, I think that portion is a pretty low priority.

To be honest, I think that section is pointless for mainstream actors like these - a link to IMDb would do. It is more useful for anime VAs who have fewer non-anime roles (you can confirm, say, that you really did hear them in an advert, or check out games your favourite VA had a role in) and for Japanese VAs where it may be interesting to know that dubbed a major role from a hollywood blockbuster.

The message at the top of the page when you go to enter a non-anime role is: "This is to enter a role that the actor has played in a non-anime production. It can be a voice role in an American animation, or a role in a movie or a play... anything non-anime."
So no, it's not normally for video games. It's pretty clearly for anything and everything non-anime.

I generally think it's a low priority for the small stuff, but when it comes to particular roles which are the reason they were selected in the first place, I consider it important.
