One of my choices would be Haley-Joel Osment. He did a good job as Sora in Kingdom Hearts. Also Cheryl Chase is a good VA. I thought she did a good job as Angelica in the Rugrats. I heard she did the dub for My Neighbor Totoro but I haven't seen it yet.

I want to see Mandy Moore be a VA. She did a good job as Aerith in Kingdom Hearts, and I thought "Maybe, she should do anime."

I have seen this, she does the voice for Satsuki's Sister, Mei.

Being a bit of a political junkie, I was a big fan Eagle a few years back. The plot involves a Japanese American presidential canidate.
There are a few major and minor characters who are based off real world public figures, the most prominent being spoiler[Vice President Albert Noah, former Senator from Tennesse.]
But also "cameos" of characters based are interesting and based on people such as Walter Conkriate (sp?), John McCain, Mel Gibson etc. If they ever did an Anime it would be fun to have some of these cameos filled by the real people.

All the Best,

Nani?

I'd like to see Ron Perlman do something anime. He's done a lot of cartoon voice work (mostly for WB, especially the DC cartoons) and he was/is great in Teen Titans. I think the closest he's done (that I can find) is a bit part in the '95 live action version of Crying Freeman.

I'd love to see Mark Hamill do more anime, he has such a great voice range and can do just about anything.

Good point. I would agree with you there. He has done many great achievments and I wish to see him in anime for a change.

Yes, definitely Mark Hamill. I simply love his rendition of the Joker in Batman. I’m sure there’s a villain out there that he can play. His maniacal voice and spine chilling laughter would be welcomed in any anime.

Nice choice Emerje.

Tim Curry. I'm no Rocky Horror freak (it's an enjoyable movie I guess), but I've heard him do some video game voice work and...damn.

Keith David (Goliath from "Gargoyles") and James Earl Jones. Those 2 have the coolest voices I've ever heard. So deep and disciplined-sounding, they'd be awesome in the right roles.

Oh yeah, Tim Curry is another one who does a lot of voice work, but never anime. He did a great job as Kilokahn on the live action "Super Human Samurai Syber Squad" (originally Gridman in Japan, not the greatest adaptation, but what a toy line!).

I think he should get more work period!!! They aren't getting to play Joker in the new Batman show, which makes me mad.

I think people should also get him for live-action stuff. He is so cool.

They briefly used his voice in
"Birds of Prey". Too bad it's cancelled though.

Argh...How can I forget about Tim Curry? He has that deep menacing voice. He could play those extra characters that no one cares about in a particular anime.

[OT]I find it funny you mention Tim Curry, a friend of mine brought over his old VHS tapes of Pirates of the Dark Water( I believe), and we watched the first 5 episodes. I think he plays 'clonk'(sp?). Very funny character.

Actually, if you want to see just how good Tim Curry is as a VA you should pick up the otherwise lackluster and preachy Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest.

Actually, Robin Williams also does his part to make this movie highly entertaining so long as you ignore the enviromentalist dogma.

Hmmm, Robin Williams in an anime? Shocked

Ah, yes. Tim Curry plays that smog smoky character and Robin Williams plays the bat, if I’m not mistaken.

Now, as for Robin Williams in anime…it’s a keen idea, but I really don’t see any suitable characters that he could play. Anything is possible however; he does have that wide range in his voice. If anything, I would love to see him in a minor role and not exactly the lead protagonist.

Earl Boen. He does a lot of voices video games(Gurlukovich in MGS2) and TV. He was also the only person, other than Arnold, to be in all three Terminator movies
