Currently there is no volume 12. I am not clear on the precise status of the series, but I believe it has at very least been on a hiatus since vol 11's Japanese release.

I have another question about Descendants of Darkness. I got the two first volumes as a Christmas present from a friend, and I read them and thought it was pretty cute and not too serious. Reminded me of Earthian a lot actually because of the drawing style and the main characters' relationship, and that's not a bad thing.
But it didn't really seem to be more than some random stories put together. How does the series continue, is there going to be a bigger storyarc or is it just a slice of shinigami life?

They're pretty much stand-alone stories until #7. That one continues into the next volume and, IIRC, a bit of #9. ...which kicks off a large, unfinished story arc.

I'll throw in another question: Are there edits in the English version? I keep hearing that there has been censorship in the art and I was wondering if anyone knew more about that.

There was one art edit in volume 4 during the St. Michael's storyline. One frame of a one-page sex scene was edited to remove a character (with a flipped speech bubble, heh). That's the only one I know of. I'm still stunned volume 11 wasn't edited.
