As someone who has read the manga, this is probably a great time to mention that the manga is not known for its action scenes, so the anime will have to pick up the slack on that. In many ways, it really is more about work culture than fighting evil creatures. IMO, the manga’s more exciting scenes are never the demon hunting parts.

I mean I found the action scenes in the manga rather exciting. Maybe it's just a personal taste thing

This is a refreshing take on the Magical Girl and Work genre and so far I think the anime is doing a good job of adapting it.

Kana is a really endearing lead character and Koshigaya is a fun Senpai. I also like how they flipped the usual typecast for Fairouz Ai and Yumiri Hanamori.

I love the Sailor Moon references in the transformation sequences.

Defeating monsters with USB's is definitely unique.

Rikiya Koyama is once again playing the goofily dressed guy in charge of a company, but the man commits to that Magical Girl outfit.

Daiki Yamashita is straight up playing Deku for Magical Girls.

It's fun having Ryota Osaka playing a character in a show that's explicitly not a Harem.

This is the first time in a while that I've watched anything on Amazon Prime Video, and their app has been infuriating for me. It was basically impossible for me to prevent episode 1 from jumping ahead to episode 2 so I could watch the ED and post-credits sequence (and it looks like those will be quite extensive in this show). Worse, a whole lot of the subtitles were several seconds delayed.

Could just be that I'm watching on an LG TV from 2017, mind you -- I didn't see the subtitling issues on my phone. I might try switching from the TV's app to my Roku; it helped with Disney+'s slowdown when I was watching Andor.

One note about the end of episode 2: the placard on the desk says "Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare".

The only thing I miss is Koshigaya calling her boss, "Prez-chan".

But Magilumiere has quite a lot of action, or at least, more magical girls (women) fighting monsters than fidgeting with Excel tables.
