I don't believe this for a minute that this was planned, but who knows?
Whatever happened to the timeskip? That seemed interesting.

It’s interesting. I don’t believe it was planned from the beginning. But it will be a nice change of pace. Kishimoto has been supervising the series since it’s inception so I don’t think many changes to the overall plot will be done. Kishimoto has had ample amounts of time since S8 and Naruto to rest and get his creative juices flowing so I have a lot of hope. The Boruto manga was already really good so I’m hoping this change will either increase the quality even further or at least keep things interesting.
I am curious as to what made Kishimoto take the reins now. If you’ve been keeping up with the manga then it seems like a time skip is rather imminent. Maybe he wanted to make sure he took the helm for that important part of Boruto’s tale? It’s certainly possible. I hope we get an interview with him soon disclosing his reasons for returning.
Also, the article says that Kishimoto will take over starting chapter 52, but shouldn’t it be 53 since that’s actually when he’ll be in charge of writing?

Yeah, no way this was planned from the beginning. It's pretty clear that Kishimoto is only returning as main writer after Samurai 8 ended.
Also, I wonder now that Kodachi has retired from the manga, will it be him or Kishimoto who will supervising the anime screenwriters? On one hand, I imagine Kishimoto would rather not do all that extra work, but on the other hand, Kodachi may not be involved in the manga enough (if at all) to be able to continue the job.

I imagine it was always planned to happen, whenever Samurai 8 ended. Considering it didn't run long, I'm guess that moved up the time table.
I'm not reading it, but if there is a planned time skip, that seems like the best point to change the writer.

You know, I don't really have the same problems with the anime, but the earlier chapters of the manga were kinda a mess. It does get more fun later on, but it really has the feel that the writer has been pushed for ideas.
Kishimoto-sensei taking over is a welcome change for me.

It's hard to say it's good. The pacing is really messy and ended up being kinda info-dumpy. But if you can like it, IMO it ended surprisingly well considering how it was rushed.

No way in hell this was planned from the starts. When Naruto first ended he made it clear that he has no intentions of drawing the series anymore, and wants to move forward. Though with Samurai 8 having gone belly up it'd make sense he'd want to be back at the reins of his own series. Hope he and Ikemoto part on equal and friendly terms
More importantly with Kishi back in full control there's now the possibility that Naruto won't have to die now. The rumors were getting bigger and people actually started looking forward to his death.

what are you talking about? Ikemoto is still drawing the manga art. Kishimoto isnt drawing the manga art.

There's no way this was planned.
His previous manga flopped so he's gone back to what made him successful pushing the other guy out of a job.
I'm fine with it though. I'd rather he wrote it.

And he will ruin female & side characters in Boruto and he will kill off major characters, including those from Naruto.

It was already happening, the manga is mainly Boruto and the aliens.
