Wow, it took me this long to find out how many Blu-ray copies are sold from the Love Live! series, at least with Sunshine!!.

Love Live Sunshine is really bringing in the dough with Volume 2.

There's a 25k drop in copies sold between Sunshine vol 1 and Sunshine vol 2. I'll be curious to see what the drop will be for vol 3 since I don't think that comes with an event ticket lottery application.

Am I the only one who wishes they would stop listing Disney movies? Like... I'm curious about how anime is doing, not western animation.

Same, which is why I mostly look at the News threads on MAL for this stuff.

Well, what's nice about the inclusion of Disney films and other western animation is that it's a good gauge for comparing how popular they often are in comparison to the animation made in their own country.

I don't think Volume 2 came with one either. So I don't think it'll drop much if at all.

Vol 2 lists "■Aqours 1st LIVE Day.2(2/26(日))チケット最速先行抽選申込券" on Amazon. So I do believe it came with a lottery ticket app for the live event. Though it seems there are 2 days for the live event, vol 1 is for day 1 and vol 2 is for day 2.

Oh, my mistake. I guess it did. The sites I was looking at didn't list an event ticket.

I wish these kind of weeks were titled as "Japan and Western Animation Blu-ray...."

It's ~19k drop between vol.1 week 3 (74,266) and vol.2 week 3...

It's not "Japan Animation" rankings, though. It's "Japan's Animation" rankings, i.e. how well animation sells in Japan.

No, and this is mainly because Disney are copyright maximalists. Seriously, what is the appeal of some Disney films to people?
