*yes, I know, not technically Ghibli
**the way the top option in most, if not all, of the other polls are being flooded with votes- I think something fishy may be going on. Spambot interference or something (and in a way I thought I'd make this poll just to test this theory- but why not make a worthy poll anyway?
My choice is still Spirited Away. Actually my favorite anime, movie or series, and usually competes with just a couple live action movies ever made for favorite movie of any kind.
[edit] crap, this was my first time making a poll- didn't realize you can't edit a created poll. If a mod is able, could you edit the first point to "N/A - reasons below**" so it doesn't stretch out the rows?

My favorite would have to be Kiki's Delivery Service. It's the first one I had ever seen and remember in full (I think I may have seen parts of My Neighbor Totoro before, but I'm not positive.) and I've loved it ever since. Nausicaä, Princess Mononoke, and The Cat Returns are very close seconds.

Seems like the spambots are currently in 3rd place.
It's interesting to see that Howl's Moving Castle picked up a couple votes. From my experience online in various forums it's one of the less well-regarded Ghibli films. It does seem to appeal to a younger generation of fans who like the more modern animation and find Howl himself to be an attractive character. This was made clear to me just last week when talking to one of the anime clubs that I sponsor, that it seems to be more highly regarded among younger women/teens. Personally I liked it well enough but it wouldn't be in my top five.

I hate not getting to choose more than one!
If one only, then it has to be Totoro.
But I wish I could have five: Totoro, Kiki, Whisper of the Heart, Nausicaa, Only Yesterday.

Only Yesterday, by a centillion country miles. I love slice-of-life shows, and the perennial watercolours couldn't be better.
That, and everything Justin said during the top 10 anime podcast last year. ^^

Princess Mononoke is not only the best Ghibli film, but it's my favorite anime+movie overall. Glad to see it in the lead, though I'm not suprised.

Agh!!! Choose one? Is that even possible......
Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, and Pom Poko have always been my top 5 favs, although I love all the Ghibli movies (except for Howl's Moving Castle which was fine). It was a really hard pick, but I voted for Laputa: Castle in the Sky. I knew it wasn't going to be a leader in the polls, but Im still surprised that Im the 1st one to vote for it at all.
Also, stupid spambots in 2nd place!!! >=(

Actually isn't Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind indeed a Studio Ghibli film? I think it is, and I picked that one, it is also my very most favorite anime movie.

No, it's not, because it was created before Ghibli was even formed. Because it shares themes that are very similar to some of Ghibli's other films/it played a pretty big part in Ghibli being formed in the first place/Miyazaki directed it, a lot of people like to consider it their first film, even if that's technically not true.
We've all adopted it as that, for the most part.

My favorite Ghibli film have to be Kiki's Delivery Service; I have rewatch that movie so many times. The thing I like the most about the movie is the world that it take place in; it's a place where I would love to live in. It kind of slow, but that doesn't bother me since I like slice of life shows and this movie have such great characters and setting, that it doesn't matter. It not a epic like Mononoke, but I think people shouldn't miss checking this one out.

I spent a few minutes grappling with Grave of the Fireflies, Only Yesterday, and Porco Rosso. In the end, I voted for Grave of the Fireflies since it is the only Ghibli film I’ve seen more than once. But I easily could have voted for Porco Rosso since it is the only Miyazaki movie that didn’t make me fall asleep. I see it has no votes. And Only Yesterday was awesome. For some reason, it’s the only Ghibli movie that remains unlicensed. Disney needs to remedy that. I know it can be done; they licensed Whisper of the Heart, after all.

What!? No "None of the Above" option? I would be curious to know if I'm the only person in the world that doesn't like Ghibli Movies.
