Hey guys, so last year at a con I picked up this set from a vendor for about $40 or so (might have been 45, I don't remember exactly).
http://www.amazon.ca/Eureka-Seven-Collection-Anime-Legends/dp/B001W79MBS/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_1_1N5Q Now, I didn't get around to watching it until recently, and so I'm starting to look for the 2nd box set to complete the series...except everywhere I find it in stock, it's something like $300-$800, while the first set is around $80-90. This is the second set. http://www.amazon.ca/Eureka-Seven-Collection-Anime-Legends/dp/B0028X6L1Y/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_2_1N5Q I looked through the International Retailers list (most of the links for Canada are nonexistent), and on the Anime Online Store Review list, and no dice. I'd like to keep costs under $200 if possible. Unfortunately, I'm not that big of an anime buyer (I've bought 2 anime series before this, and both where in actual stores here in my city rather than online), so I don't know where exactly I should look. Any help would be appreciated. |

Sorry but you kinda missed the boat on Eureka Seven and Bandai Entertainment USA, the distributor of those sets, shut down last year. Anything that was put out by them is now out of print and will not be made any longer. Out of print stuff is often hard to find and only gets harder as time goes on. Pricing on it is tricky too, because sometimes going out of print makes the item sell for dirt cheap whereas other times it means the prices increase instead.
Your best bet, if you don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for it, is to find a used copy which are often just as good as a brand new one, depending on the listed condition of the item. Although, when you do this you also should be wary of illegal bootleg sets. For instance if it says it's an import, Region 0/region free, or if the number of discs or cover art doesn't match the official version, you probably shouldn't buy it even if the price is right. |

Someone asked me this question the other day, and after a round of Amazon/eBay hunting, I came to the conclusion that the boat for the U.S. release has pretty much sailed.
HOWEVER, if you're willing to pick up a cheap region free DVD player and search through international sellers, you should still be able to track down a reasonably priced UK or Australian collection for the show. Also, FUNimation owns the rights to the sequel series Eureka Seven AO, so it seems likely that they'll eventually rescue and re-release it before too terribly long. |

You could also check out Craig's List, Kijiji or any other online classified site, some times you can find some anime on the cheap.
If you do find the set on those, first ask for pictures of the set (to made sure the set is legit). |

I managed to get part one on UK Amazon for under £30 and part two on UK Ebay again for under £30, they were both brand new and shrink wrapped about a month ago.

I'd just wait it out, Funimation will probably get the rights sooner or later.

Its a well loved series, so I think someone will eventually license rescue it and put it out again. However, there's a chance that it could turn out to be a very long wait for that to happen. If you need to have it sooner then you're going to have to keep a regular eye out for a cheap used one. I've been able to pick up a few OOP anime at reasonable prices, but it requires patience and luck. The other way to go is as others have suggested and import a UK or AU version and play it on a region free player.
