I guess Funimation didn't tell the audience that Dragon Ball Kai is censored, even on its DVD and Blu-Ray releases, a bizarre thing for Toei to do.

I hope Greed from FMA gets a Mallow figure. You can never get any Greed merchandise. It's always the same damn characters.

spoiler[(And no, I won't settle for Ling.)]

Looking forward to some of the new releases, Kenichi surpised at its enjoyability. Slayers is Slayers, and of course Evangelion 1.11 in blu-ray. I will even keep a positive attitude toward Strike Witches.

It has been a pretty hefty string of Funimation disappointments broken only by Spice and Wolf and Evangelion 1.01 for me.

Brand Manager Charlene Ingram then came up to talk about the S.A.V.E. line. In the new S.A.V.E. line, Funimation is lowering the price on a lot of series that it has too many of, with 26-episode series selling for $29.98, 13-episode series selling for $19.98, and OVAs or movies selling for $9.98.

On behalf of anime tightwads everywhere, let me just say: thanks! This is a great idea.

The only problem I'll have with this is that ugly green sidebar on the case. I'm going to hope to death that it's removable.

And penguintruth, does it really matter if Kai is censored? Fans, hardcore and casual, are going to watch it regardless, and really, that makes it all the better for it to get on TV, if that chance comes up.

Which is all well and good, but seeing as how fans have three choices of how to get their DBZ fix, something that is edited might not go over to well, especially if that means you want quality DBZ you have to go the prohibitively expensive Dragon Boxes, which will still be on the shelf, likely alongside Kai, and the early single season releases, which will probably create a lot of confusion when it comes to spending your money.
