Um, episode 13 was "Tsubasa Cat - Part 3". So episode 14 would logically be part 4, right? If I remember correctly, the Tsubasa Cat arc isn't over yet.

And the good news just keeps on rolling in! I'm so excited for this. Mind you, there is a chance the deadline may be pushed a few times, but even so, when they get to the point of actually announcing a date it means it won't be all that long, even if there a few hiccups.

Read article.
The BluRay will be "Part 2" since part 1 had Tsubasa Cat I&II and part 2 will have Tsubasa Cat III&IV.

Mulrich is correct, since it's even more confusing than that:
Tsubasa Cat BD/DVD Volume I (Bakemonogatari Volume V):
Tsubasa Cat Episode Part 1 (Episode #11)
Tsubasa Cat Episode Part 2 (Episode #12)
Tsubasa Cat Episode Part 3 (Episode #13)
Tsubasa Cat BD/DVD Volume II (Bakemonogatari Volume VI):
Tsubasa Cat Episode Part 4 (Episode #14)
Tsubasa Cat Episode Part 5 (Episode #15)

Woah!
Finally. I sure hope they'll roll out Hanekawa's opening this time around. In fact, I'm pretty sure they will, as a promotional act for the fifth BD, which incidentially has a bonus CD with said opening.

What I can't figure out is why I want so much for this to succeed over there, and then hope so much that someone wants to bring it here. It's not that I'm under the illusion that it'll have a broad appeal here...
but news like this makes me want to run around like a kid who has had too much sugar.
Deep in heart I just want them to finish the whole thing, I want to see the prequel too.
man, these sweet-tarts are makin' my heart beat fast and out of rhythm...

How is 40k sales for each BluRay not success?
All the pandering Bakemonogatari had worked its magic and otaku bought it like crazy.

There are plenty of series with far more pandering and far more fan service then Bakemonogatari, yet they can't claim more than a tiny fraction of its success, so that really does little to explain why it has been so successful.

Just look at the BluRay cover with Shinobu. A picture is worth a thousand words.

That's not much of retort. If Bakemonogatari's pandering/fan service are what has made it so successful, why are shows with far more of those elements not even remotely as successful? You're making a weak argument.

There isn't anything to retort. You need to provide some sort of example to your claim. Otherwise it's just vague and not worth responding to.
From the first second with Hanekawa's panty flash to the ending scene of the TV series with nerd-wish fulfillment of Koyomi and Hitagi's date, it pandered quite extensively.

mmm, I didn't say it wasn't actually successful, but that I wanted to be successful enough to be licensed over here.
also? on the pandering? When there is a show that has attributes YOU like, I'm sure you don't regard that as pandering, no matter what it is.
To me the pandering charge is like negative hype on any show it is levelled against. "I don't like XYZ thing therefore it must be otaku pandering." You don't like the show? Great. It isn't easy to find, so don't watch. You don't like every droplet of water in a shower showing the body taking the shower? Great, guess you missed the artistry of such a thing, apart from what it was showing. Nobody is making you watch.
I was attracted to the look of the show, and how it was shot. Fanservice isn't what wins me over, no matter that I may like it. How each arc has unravelled [except for cat which I haven't seen yet] is what interested me. The little twists, and such. That Hitagi can't see Mayoi throughout that whole arc, and what that means, was one of those little moments that hooks me on a series.
I like that it has really done well on BD, because it shows how things can be strong on that in Japan, maybe it will be brought over here.

I never said I didn't like Bakemonogatari. I loved the Suruga Monkey arc. It didn't have any naked loli characters and had a few touching scenes and an awesome battle. It's just the rest of the series that I didn't care for. Though maybe Tsubasa Cat will be better.
