Hey folks, I'm here to ask what anime has done to change your life? It can range from the mundane to the extraordinary. But when it comes to anime, it can never be too small, can it? Anyways, anime has changed my life a lot, and I owe a lot to it. I was suffering from some depression and was just a mess, I was never happy and was just too wholly depressing to be around . Anime was my lifeboat. When I popped in the first tape of Oh! My Goddess that my friend let me borrow, I became happy again and started looking at the future more optimistically. And now, nothing can cheer me up like a good anime. I've even converted some of my friends too. Having a bad day? Let me play Love Hina's OP, "Sakura Saku", and I'll be damned if a smile doesn't flitter across your face. Anyways, it wasn't much, but anime changed my life forever. Tell me about your stories <( <)

What Anime has done for me is occasionally made me broke, and have to put up with egotistical elitists who think they're art/psychology professors, or act like little girls on internet forums. So really, the pros just barely outweight the cons.

I'll agree on the being broke part, but I think it's well worth the investment if you ask me. Overall, anime has brightened my most sour of days, inspired me to major in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and minor in Japanese Interpertation, well, that's when I get to college after the end of this upcoming year, cured my undying boredom, and made me stop watching plain old saturday morning cartoons that I've seen umpteen times before.

Steven, are you really a eunuch? O_O ::shakes head clear:: Anyways, maybe for you the pros don't outwiegh the cons, but for others it's the opposite. It's all in how you look at it, you know?

Anime is helps me with the problems I have. Beign disabled, fearing I might break something if I fall, fearing my knee might go out and having no friends anime really helps me. Plus it gives me somthing to do on Saturday night. Oh, if you're in my hometown and you spot a woman who is big (tall and wide) has brown hair wearing glasses and using pink cruches or a blue scooter (I.E. wheel chair scooter) say hi becuse well like I said I don't have any frends

Anime has made me hungry. For you see i buy so much anime that i forget to leave some back for money and so when im through watching a new series, im left to watch the bare cupboards and my waning waste line. I guess i have to include here that anime is also a great weight loss program

Anime is a drug.
Hi, My name is Onmyoji and i'm an anime addict, have been even before i knew the shows i was watching were anime. Plus it has ultimately helped me mature over the years and brought me into a world of deeper thinking. Anime has given me the hobby known as collecting, no anime fan can resist the goal of owning every anime every created (except the ones they can't stand of course) But also anime has left me penniless to the point where i will be going to Otakon with barley any money (do you know how much that will suck ) but anime is like a little puppy you can't stay mad at it no matter how hard you try.

I agree fanboys are anoying. But for me its just a great, new form of entertainment that I stumbled on. I'd say its just great fun to watch, and its also seemingly more intelectually challenging than alot of other forms of tv/film. Its also a nice escape from the real world, which can be quite lame a nice amount of the time.

There are some con to Anime like addiction and obssession. I don't watch as much anime as I do in my younger high school days when I would skip homework to go online read about anime. Now a days, I like reading manga since it's more affordable and offer a better overall experience in term of the depth (for me anyways). The real benefit I get from Anime is probably that I understand more about japanese culture than I thought I did.
