Chrono Cross OST...

Amen to that! A lot of my friends say the game sucked, but I thought it was pretty good. Not a great sequal to Trigger, but good enough by itself. Again, it's also my absolute favorite video game soundtrack. Anime hyper

While I was working on wrapping up my final projects for Drawing class this weekend, I dug out some of my old anime OSTs and listened to them while I worked. Ghost in the Shell, AKIRA, Evangelion (especially End of Eva), .hack//SIGN, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, & Cowboy Bebop all have pretty relaxing, work-friendly soundtracks, I found out.

Speaking of Yuki (or is it Yuuki) Kajiura, Noir isn't too bad either. I just finished watching the series yesterday. The series itself wasn't as good as I expected, but the music was pretty relaxing. Must be that whole European influence (much like Chrono Cross).

The only thing about that soundtrack that gets on my nerves though is the repetative tune of that darn pocket watch Mad . And isn't there a Japanese version of the song "Lullaby?" The string tune and melody sound nice, but I think the singer's Japanese accent is way too strong for her own good. I'm sure there's a Japanese version though... (could be wrong.)

And for some reason I don't really like those accordians either, love the acoustic guitars though.

The most relaxing anime tunes that I could find until now are these:

1-Haibaine Renmei
2-Record of Lodoss War
3-Wolf's Rain

Listening to that song makes me feel relaxed, loved, and haunted at the same time.

I can mention another songs that relaxes. The opening theme for Mahou Tsukai Ni Taisetsuna Koto (Someday's Dreamers), and ED for Outlaw Star, Aa! Megami-sama OP.

Hmm. I was listening to Furi Kuri/Fooly Cooly/FLCL and there were some really soft tunes that I almost fell asleep to. But then again, I only got about 6 hours of sleep and had just finished eating a big lunch at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it Anime dazed...

LAIN

I'm just intrested... what exactly on the sound track other then possibly the opening and maybe the ending were relaxing about Lain? Nothing on it is really relaxing to me, but I still like it. I took it to art class one day because I thought it was "inspirational to art" and well... the whole class forbade me to ever bring in another cd again.

Hmm. After listening to it a few more times, I'd say "Four Seasons" by Namie Amuro is pretty relaxing.

It's a nice J-pop tune that's not too J-pop. Hope the movie that movie comes to the U.S. very soon.

Finally, a movie with Sesshoumaru in it. Rolling Eyes
