Comoooon Funi... Even when Ocean Group asks for involvement in this one, that's saying something...right?

God I hope Funimation licenses this.

And did Oceans Group really ask for involvement in this? They made Black Lagoon my favorite English Dub ever.

I wonder why it's not just called "El Baile de la muerte" like the manga chapters. Not that it really matters, it's still going to be awesome.

There's a better promo on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGEPfLOKB7Q

I'm still not sure how they're gonna wrap this up in 5 episodes, This arc was extremely long (33 chapters).

yeah, fujiyama gangsta paradise got 6 episodes, and isn't this arc more than twice as long? 5 episodes is going to be a really tight fit.

Some of the chapters in this arc are really short, and from what I gather these OVA episodes have a longer run time than your standard twenty-two minute TV episode.

I'm also a little concerned about how they're going to cram the arc into an OVA.......but hell yeah! It's new Black Lagoon and I'll take it.

It also seems they're just picking up where they left off and the first OVA episode is #25. Confused

Other random thought: Whohoo! Good to see Red Fraction back even if it's a remix.

Hm... I wish I could get into the dub of Black Lagoon, but it was by far one of the subpar ones out there... it's almost as if they were trying a bit too much and didn't sound all that natural.

And for those that are wondering, the first OVA installment is only 30 minutes. I just finished watching it.

Theme Song: Red fraction IO drive mix

Edit: The Closing theme is "When Johnny Comes Marching Home"... LOL

-BD releases of "Black Lagoon" & "Black Lagoon: Second Barrage".
-BD/DVD releases of "Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail".
Work your magic Funimation, make it happen. And if Funi can't do it, we'll be counting on you Viz. Very Happy

For those of you wondering how they're gonna fit all of "El Baile de La Muerte" into "Roberta's Blood Trail," don't.

...snip unfounded speculation...

The dvd/blu-ray releases, at least for the first volume, will be 35 minutes long, a bit longer than the broadcast version, but not "45 to 60 mins". There is no plan to do a TV edit 10 to 13 episode version. It will be a tight fit to get everything in, and they probably won't try.
