The Basquash! video is 100-seconds not minutes. That would be one heck of a long promotional video.
It looks pretty good, should be worth seeing. The art is very nice, character and mecha designs are very unique (a basketball playing car-bot!?) animation looks very clean and colorful, has an excellent cast and crew. That's coming from someone who really doesn't care for basketball, but does enjoy a good, fun, and unique robot series from time to time. Emerje |

Just letting you guys know, Thomas Romain mentioned over at CATSUKA (or the owner posted what he said there in a news post, to be more specific), that the series is scheduled to air in Japan in April 2009 and will be placed in a late night timeslot. The series will also have a manga (two, I believe) series launched as well. You can find the information here, although it is in french.
There's also some other interesting tidbits there, including that Thomas Romain was the one who came up with the original concept, before Shoji took over duties to "revamp" it, so to speak, to make it appeal to the Japanese. Although, Thomas himself still had control over the visual appearance of the series. (Hopefully I understood that correctly...) What a way to put man and machine together.I think that's unique.Im looking forward to Basquash! as well, and for some reason it reminds me of lil megaman. Not that it resembles it in anyway.

Since Satelight did a great job using CG in Noein and Macross Frontier, I hope this will be good - Basquatch is one of the shows I am looking forward to the most next year.

Basquash had to have mechas here because that's the only way they could excuse getting girls in it!

Wow. The idea of basketball-playing robots doesn't particularly appeal to me, but based on the art style and originality displayed here, I'll have to keep an eye on Basquash.
