Starting this week, a lot of anime box sets are Buy One Get One Free. I manage an FYE, and we've been working on our pre-Christmas signage, and there is a ton of anime that is going on sale or buy one get one free.

The nearest store to me is a good forty minute drive and they usually don't have but two or three box sets in stock. Will this sale apply online as well?

Blah, went to FYE the other day and SOOO many box sets are on "sale" for say, $29.99 down from $39.99, which means they're not included in the B1G1 sale. The Shuffle! artbox was regular price, but 4 of the other box sets I wanted were not included in the sale because of their "only slightly reduced" sale price. To this sale I say "meh".

Pheasant Lane Mall, Nashua one. It's too bad. I've really been wanting that Shuffle box since TRSI has inexplicably stopped selling them even though they seem to be plentiful at most B&M stores. I'm just waiting to find a good sale on it. (Although my brother works at Best Buy, so I'll likely have him get it for me at the employee discount price.) |

I have been down there twice for different sales and I haven't had much luck in that FYE. Of course most FYE's are slow to get new releases and they seem to vanish quickly during good sales. Oh well, the Rockingham Mall FYE has a bit more in terms of selection, but most of its been there a while. I did track down a ROD pencil board a needed though. I guess its really hit or miss in most b&ms. |

This is a very huge YMMV type deal but FYE is having a clearance on some anime dvds. I'd call before making a long drive.
This was posted over at DVDtalk, thanks to WTK and the people who posted the deal! These are copy and pasted. Ninja Scroll: The Series (Collectors Edition w/ Figure): $12.50 Steamboy Collectors Gift Set: $12.50 Eureka 7 Vol 3 Special Edition - $7.50 Eureka 7 Vol 5 Special Edition - $7.50 Geneshaft Anime Legends Complete Collection - $7.50 Picked up Strait Jacket @ FYE for $9.99 Found a few more titles in the 75% off. There were some Tenchi titles, some of the old DBZ dvds, and the Infinite Ryvius Boxset. Most of the single dvds were $2.50 after discount, the Ryvius boxset was $7.50. FYE pays $13.25 for the boxset, so worse case scenario i could always just sell it back Some more good news out of the FYE 75% off sale. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Vol 1 LE box is only $12.48 after the discount. Backstage pass brings it down even more. They also had some of the Gundam Seed Destiny LE's 75% off as well. They were $7.50 after the discount. Kind of O/T, but for anyone looking to make some cash, FYE sells Fire Emblem Wii for $9.99 new. The game is still going for $50 everywhere (and averages 42 + S&H on ebay). Not sure if its been mentioned, but FYE is doing a 75% off select clearanced items. I found some anime in there (mostly crappy titles) but I did find some Gundam stuff, the Wolf's Rain Anime Legends sets, and amazingly, Psychic Academy Vol 2 w/ manga; all at $6 each (oop for a few years IIRC) Enjoy all. Happy buying. |
