I can't believe how underated this anime is, is quite funny and very cool, i like the Characters more than the other Yu-Gi-Oh's, the cards are better without any possible comparition, and the storyline is getting cool.
Why isn't a thread about this still in this forum?

Well, about Animation, im not expert in that, i see it in Low Definition, anyways...
Now, about the music, i love it, feels very futuristc.
And the story is just starting, you problably only saw one episode, it gets better

I guess there's really no thread because Yu-Gi-Oh ! as a whole is aimed at kids, and doesn't really have that much of a plot that appeals to upper audiences. Plus, it's based around a card game, so I don't know how cool it could get....
But if you like it; then go ahead and stick with it. As for me, I feel that Yu-Gi-Oh ! altogether has gone WAY past it's prime is about ready to kick the bucket. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think so, i think its more in the future.
Also, Watashi wa Ryuzaki, i don't actually believe this is that much for Kids, sure, it isn't too violent, but it isn't entirely appropriated for kids, but that's just my opinion anyways.

Well you could certainly argue your point. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D looks like it's #3 on the most diverging opinions list here on ANN. So I guess your not alone when you say that it's not half bad.

Well we don't get a new topic for every new Pokemon do we. One can only take so much of a franchise made to sell cards and video game that's been going on for over 10 years but if you like it great it will undoubtedly be on CN one of these days.

Ok, for anyone who hasn't watched the series in a while, you've GOT to give it a second chance.
The original Yu-Gi-Oh! is my favourite anime (I'm a dork, so? 83), and I have to say, 5D is just as dark and mysterious, if not more so! It may not beat the original in my eyes, but I've no problem admitting there are aspects of this series that surpass the original.
Especially finally having a strong female role, and at least 5 really important characters instead of just the one main character (Yusei is the hero, but the other characters are shown as equally important and have had a fair amount of screentime and BG developement.)
Plus the shock factor is awesome, and I don't mean just the Yuusei-torture scenes
Give it a few episodes before judging it. Lots of people have been pleasently surprised by how good it is
Ok, rant over
(PS: It shouldn't make the same mistake as Pokémon; Kazuki only agreed to allow a third series and create the characters after it was agreed to be the final one, so there's a plus )

I loved Duel Monsters, because it had a dark plot at times, and it's the sequel to the original Yugioh(animated by Toei),but yeah,Yugioh started to drag off a bit right near the memories arc, which I did like, the one where they had to find King Atem's lost memories
as for Yugioh GX,it got off to a slow start at first during the first two seasons with the whole Duel academy thing, but right around the 3rd season if started getting darker with the whole thing with Jaden becoming the supream king and all this other weird stuff, but yeah,I did'nt like GX as much as the others, the characters felt dull and unexpiring at first.
and as for this recent one, 5D.....ehhh....the idea of card games now on motorbikes just feels weird.
But every now and than I get a laugh out of Yugioh abridged, but hey your titled to your opinion,so I won't diss it,because I'm a fan of overlooked series's that actually deserve more praise.

I'm eager to watch this once it gets 'abridged' à la the original series.

Yu-Gi-Oh is just, in my opinion, one of those shows that don't know when to stop. It could go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on. Sort of like that. I stopped watching after season one and I won't be going all the way back to catch up on what I've missed--too much. I'm not particularly fond of dueling on motorcycles idea myself either. Ah I would say more, but the whole "going on" chatter covers it.
