You should enjoy this Past as it has two gender bent characters Luminaria, is also a guy in what was real life before the game became real. In her case, the use of a female avatar was intentional.

I've read some of the manga for both of these, and while they both fall into isekai tropes, the only major connection I recall between the two is the gender swap part (minor rant: why can't we get many strong female isekai leads without them being a man in their last life outside of the otome game trope?). Without delving into spoilers, this one falls into the "game world becomes real, but many years have passed" trope, and that one falls into the "reborn with all their skills and memories" trope.

I think you may have misunderstood me. The gender swap part is what I was thinking about, because without it, it seems like the 2 titles would be so identical as to not warrant watching both of them. In other words, when some gender-bending aspect is the major reason for picking up a show, other shortcomings typically won't discourage viewers from watching it. I count myself as one fan who actively seeks out gender-benders, but I was just kind of contemplating how others might feel about it. If not as interested in gender-bending as a reason for watching it, then that kind of defeats the purpose of watching both.

Ah, ok, no worries. Yeah, I thought you were assuming the two were following the same isekai trope template (there's way too few variations, considering how many isekai series come out....lol) as well as both doing the gender-bender thing. I'll probably watch both since I'm a sucker for isekai series, but Yui being in this one helps as well.

I like her too, she was in both Kashimashi Girl Meets Girl and Wandering Son.
