"Original" illustration, right. Completely original and brand new.

I saw this drawing before. Most tellingly, Oda drew Luffy and Zoro's poses before, I just can't pinpoint when I saw the drawing, but it isn't new.

More specifically, this is the color spread to Chapter 598. the first chapter after the 2 year time skip.
Oda just sent him a copy of the original spread with a signature on it.

It should be a very iconic illustration for any One Piece fan...it's the time skipped version of the original color spread from chapter 1 of the manga.

I can't blame Oda for not doing an original drawing. He has too much work on his plate as it is. Just no one tell Emmanuel, okay?

If Oda sent him a copy, does it mean it's just a signed print and not the actual drawing?

That's basically what I was getting at. Doubt that Oda would send him the actual drawing (and write over the artwork nonetheless) when the sentimental value of that spread is priceless.

Yeah this isn’t original, but I would still be willing to do most things to get a signed illustration from GOda-sensei.

Kinda funny that all the comments that I read on the tweet are negative ones.

Is it the actual original artwork, or a signed print?
