Yeah, because 397 000 isn't much, huh.
With sales like that it's obvious Kingdom will get axed!
...
... Sure, it's nowhere near One Piece or Attack on Titan, but that's a really great number. For exemple, that's a bit under the usual sales of a new volume of Bleach.
This is a top 50, and only 6 volume sold more than Kingdom 42's estimated total copy.

No, you aren't. 400k is small amount of volumes.

4 volumes of Inuyashiki left if Oku is sticking to his 10 volume plan. Unfortunately, that 190k per volume profit plan isn't happening unless legs.

It's actually way ahead of Bleach. Recent Bleach volumes sell in the low to high 200k range in week 1. Kingdom selling 397k in its first week blows that away. That range is more like post-anime Haikyuu!! or post-anime pre-ending Assassination Classroom. If you try to count up the number of currently ongoing series that can match or beat this in first week sales, you'd be hard pressed to go beyond your hands. Heck, you can have a head start of Haikyuu!! (given a full week), One Piece, Attack on Titan, and Hunter x Hunter (for some definitions of 'currently ongoing'), and going beyond one hand may take some digging. 397k in the first week is a lot.

You are also forgetting that Kingdom is a seinen manga, which actually makes the number more impressive. 397 k is nothing to be scoffing at. A lot of Shounen Jump titles don't even get this kind of numbers.

We NEED a Kingdom anime reboot, with a good adaptation Kingdom would be the next [expletive] AOT (except a lot better).

I do not think that it is a small amount.
I just looked through the rankings back to the beginning of the year and I saw that there are very few books that sell more than 400k in one week and most of those are not much more, maybe 425k.
There were only a few volumes of One Piece and Attack on Titan that sold a lot more.
For most weeks the highest seller was less than 400k, and the average for each week was much, much less.
400k in one week seems like a relatively large number for manga sales.
