Great to hear. I was worried Togashi would never get around to finishing the story, as Hunter x Hunter is one of the only shounen martial arts series I've ever liked.

The rumors I've heard were that because the reason was too ridiculous to be publicized, such as playing too much pachinko. By collecting his wife's worldwide royalties he doesn't have to work anyway.

dormcat: She still makes money off Sailormoon? I thought Toei tried to put a stop to that.

Sweet! HXH is still one of my favorite manga, and I'm glad to see it get back on track. Hopefully he's been usig his time to "pre-stack" the manga so that if he wants to take a few weeks off here or there the manga can continue forward.

I was ecstatic to here this (officially; it's been rumored for a week or two now). Hopefully the art issues the series was suffering from will no longer be an issue.

Well I'm only collecting the english volumes right now, but it's still nice to know it's back, it really is an excellent series indeed. Just a question though, does anyone know how many volumes Togashi is planning for this series?

The early rumours suggested that HxH would not exactly return to a regular schedule anyway. I think they said something like "they'll publish what Togashi has drawn so far, and then we might have to wait again".
I'm sure there will be more breaks and irregularities along the way, but it's good to know that Togashi still wants to tell this story. Knowing that, I am not so scared of future breaks.
@Brothers Elric
I don't think anybody knows what Togashi is planning.

Someone mentioned art issues. When do these issues start to occur?

Even in recent volumes of the Viz release, there will be points were the art looks rough or sketchy. It's not too bad at this point and if this is as bad as it gets, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, before Togashi went on his lengthy hiatus, chapters in the Japanese magazine looked awful. he redid them in the tankoban releases, but I've only read the official Viz releases so I don't know how the most recent volumes look.

Old news. It's been all over forums already.
It'd be even more awsome if they continue the anime
