Gundam live action movie? Yes please. If someone took a serious approach to it, it could be pretty good.

They already tried it once. I'm REALLY hoping that Sunrise learned some kind of lesson and whatever happens, they make it at least deserving of the name.

I'm aware of G-Savior, but thats a cheap production. Nothing like a Hollywood production could do.

Not to mention CGI has made leaps and bounds over what it was in 2002. With a sufficient budget, this can turn out to be quite an excellent film. Never say never.

I'm not saying "never," nor am I saying Hollywood isn't up to par, but I am saying, "proceed with caution."

Well, Gundam does lend itself well to live-action.

1.stay based on true from the anime.

2.either of go new time era please stay like based true on anime.

3.if plan live action of based on any other gundam time era yea don't mess it up keep it like same formula.

Why does everybody assume this a liveaction?

Considering previous news, the most probably film is a Gundam AGE movie.

Oh please, God! Let there be a Gundam AGE movie!

Speaking of live-action Gundam. I have little faith that Hollywood can pull it off. Especially of they give it to Michael Bay.

It's listed under the US division.

Three Gundam-related domain names — "Gundam-movie.com", "Gundam-movie.net", and "gundammovie.com" — were registered with the host name server sonypictures.com. Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc. is the U.S.-based television and film production/distribution unit of Japanese media conglomerate, Sony.

That's why.

I really hope, assuming this is real, they do get Sunrise/Bandai to help out with it. Otherwise, I fear we may get another G-Savior.

It'll never leave pre-production. Should it, expect a 30 million dollar budget or less, too little to make something worth seeing that NEEDS expensive CG to not look awful.

Didn't everybody think the Gintama movie would be liveaction because it had Warner Bros. behind it?

If they combine the budget of the Transformers movie with the love of the source material of The Avengers, we might get something.

The question is which entry of the franchise will it follow? Will it be its own story like F91?

You want the people responsible for G-Savoir to be involved...

Well I mean they are for sure going to be involved, it is their thing.

These are the last things they should do. It should not stay true to the anime. It should be an honest to goodness adaptation, taking the themes and ideas and improving on them. Obviously the original movie trilogy is the thing you want to adapt, but certain things should be kept and some should be thrown out. Gundam's got some real wacky crap thats not going to work on the big screen.

And Gundam Seed is the last thing you want to follow. It's the most teen angst ridden animey Gundam show out there. It works as an anime, don't think it would work as a live action thing. Lacus is already pushing it as a plausible anime character for example.

Please god no. That failure needs to die.
