Anime = you can watch on DVDs and are usually bought from Best Buy, Suncoast, etc...
Manga = books you can purchase at Waldenbooks, Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc. ![]() |

Most (but not all) anime are originally adapted from manga. Anime are to manga what superhero cartoons are to their original comics.

Thanks to Manga Entertaiment many years ago when they were calling refering themselves as "Manga Video", a lot of people (both new fans and non-fans) do come confuse Manga with Anime.
Manga is the comic format. Anime is the TV/DVD/Movie format. This is one of the many things that Manga Entertaiment has a lot to answer for. |
