Seriously? This will be interesting. I think that Lychee Light Club is a damned fine manga, but there will be... interesting challenges in adapting it. It's pretty over-the-top and awfully dark. If the production staff has a lot of leeway on content and don't lose there nerve, it should be at least memorable. I imagine that all the pretty boys and some of what they do might appeal to certain kinds of female audience.
I hope they keep the toilet joke.
I'm becoming very enthusiastic about the fall season.

Oh... my. I never expected this. I enjoyed the manga, but I do wonder how they'll approach this. At least I can add to my "gotta watch this" list.

If there's not too much self-censorship, and they actually expand on the characters' personalities (or go the opposite direction and make it as hysterical as possible), this could be really, really good.

Whoa, this is unexpected. Lychee Light Club is a great manga, but I never even thought someone would dare to make it into anime.

How do you make an anime out of that? And on tv?

Wait when was Lychee Light Club ever a comedy?
I've read it and it's definitely horror, no question, but I'm missing where any of the comedy was in that story.

Billing it as a, "horror comedy," might overstate the case, but there is some black, absurd humor in it. I thought that it was hilarious when Lychee brought a toilet back to the club upon instructions told to fetch a beautiful girl because, "it has curves.".

This completely. If it were straight out horror (or grotesque/shock/whatever the heck you'd call it) I would have stopped reading it long ago, but it has some seriously morbid and wtf humor that kept me reading. Then again I'm told I have a really @#%@ up sense of humor but now I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who was laughing at this manga. I thought of the comic as some bizarre Lord of the Flies-esq story about some really REALLY confused and trouble teens who did some seriously ridiculous things along with some really screwed up ones because of their fearless leader's screwed up logic.
I think the first time I laughed while reading it was during the 2nd chapter where they were Christening their robot over lychee wine and Zera started to pretend he was Jesus at the last supper. Litchi Light Club is just ridiculous if you look at it at just the right angle.
Then again I'm told I shouldn't have been laughing while I read Lord of the Flies, so it could just be me. But really, most of their character designs were too cute (Raizou) or naive to allow the manga to just be straight out horror. It was like a Japanese gore horror film. You don't watch it for the gore, you watch it or the gore with REALLY cheesy wtf humor and characters. (Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl/Tokyo Zombie, etc)
