AmiAmi's listed it. I shouldn't but it. I really shouldn't. It's over $200 before shipping and my brother will give me hell over it - I get enough crap over the Figmas. I should just pass it over and ignore it. I shouldn't buy it. But. I. MUST!

I need to save some advice about some of the Muv Luv Figures I found. Although they are quite pricey, its either pay 14000 yen (shipping not inc.) for a PVC that came out for 5800yen. My other choice would be "surprise, surprise" a FIGMA of Meiya (same as above) for 5500 yen (shipping not inc.) when it came out for like 2400yen. So its either pay almost 4 times original MSRP for the FIGMA (inc. Shipping) or pay 3 times orig. MSRP for the PVC (inc. shipping).... Garghh.
Also, obligatory ; _ ;> since MLA and Meiya is mentioned. Gawd why did I have to be only 15 in 2007....and not know about the series and anime and etc. Anyways tl;dr would you rather overpay 4times for a figma, or 3 times for a PVC fig. |

It depends on how much you really want the figure or figma. See if you can read some reviews on the PVC figure, at least, to see if it's good quality so you can be assured you're money will be well spent. 14000 yen is steep, but not unheard of for rare figures. |

So, I decided to stay on the Meat kick, and I picked up the second Azone I'll have in my collection (the first being a much larger and incredibly more expensive Akari Mizunashi) It's strange, I don't really care for figmas, in part because the joints bother me, but I don't mind them on the Azone figures. Maybe it's also because I just tend to view figmas as cheap figures, and while they do look a lot better than they did just a few years back, I still can't shake that stigma I have of them.

Un-effing-believable.
A few of you in this thread may be aware of the travails I've been going through to get this figure: Issho ni Training 026 Hinako (NSFW) Okay, just to review. She was put up for pre-order on Aug. 11, 2011 and her release date was supposed to be the end of December, 2011. 1) December 2011 release date pushed to January 2012. 2) January 2012 pushed to March 2012. 3) March 2012 pushed to April 2012. 4) April 2012 pushed to May 2012. Okay, wanna guess what the NEW release date is? Late October. Yep, that's right. Late October 2012. 14 months after she was initially put up for pre-order. Needless to say that is merely the announced date. Who the eff knows when those goat molesters will actually cough her up. She is manufactured by Amiami ZERO and my God there has never been a numerical designation so completely effing fitting for a company in the history of manufacturing. This isn't a "well, we haven't gotten enough pre-orders yet" situation. Reservations for her have been closed for a long time. I am genuinely baffled. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this much delay. I now hate Amiami the online retailer. Even if they have absolutely no connection with Amiami ZERO the figure manufacturer, the fact they share the same name is enough to make me hate them. In fact, if your first name is Amy, I hate you. I hate the word aim. I will never use it again. I hate the word America. I hate the word am. I hate. |

Even moreso when the figure looks production, not prototype. I do agree this one is baffling, because the figure itself isn't some frills and ribbon covered sculpt. Hell, there's really nothing to it. I'm wondering if the issue is related to money, and the rights holder wants more now that preorders have been filled. It will not surprise me if this one gets cancelled. Not to add insult to injury, but if I read the latest HS email currently, Saber on a motorcycle will be coming out in June. Maybe it's because she's not nekkid with soap bubbles covering all the good stuffs. ![]() |

@ Meso - I am completely expecting a cancellation. At this point, it is merely a question of when they finally decide to do it. Will it take three more delays, 8? A million? Who knows. But I can't even visualize getting a shipment notice email for this item. Does not compute.

I feel ya. I have a Clayz Mio Akiyama figure on pre-order for the longest time now. I think it was solicited near the end of 2010 with release date of Spring 2011. It kept getting pushed back with Late May 2012 as the release date. Now it's early June. I've actually wanted to cancel it because it's ridiculous, but I can't due to Hobby Search changing their cancellation policy last year/late 2010. |

Today from AmiAmi--
JJBA Part 3 Kujo Jotaro Statue Legend [Di molto bene]: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm pretty sure that Jotaro is the character most represented in my figure collection at this point... *goes to check* Yep, Jotaro wins at 11 (one of which is not listed at MFC because it's older, circa 2000 and I'm too lazy to add it), followed by his enemy Dio at 8 (same story, with an older figure not listed). (Oh yeah, also preordered the Polnareff Statue Legend last week. Since Di molto bene seems to be on a Part 3 binge, here's hoping Kakyoin's next.) So anyway, who is everyone else's most-owned character? (I'm talking actual figures, whatever the size/type, as opposed to general character goods like keychains & books and such). Well, since I just now discovered that My Figure Collection lets me view my figures by character groups, my current most collected figure is Hatsune Miku, with 8 variations of her. But, the main problem is, I have a lot of small capsule figures that I haven't uploaded to that, mainly because I still haven't unpacked them, and I know I have a ton of Card Captor Sakura ones, so I have a suspicion that Sakura is my most collected figure. But, of what I have input so far, it's Miku, followed by Taiga with 6 figures of her.

I generally try to avoid picking up too many figures of the same character, but I still have some around the 3-4 range. Off the top of my head these are Saber, Black Rock Shooter, Tsuruya, Sheryl Nome, KOS-MOS, Aigis, and Super Sonico.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While I'm not even sure the Stands in JJBA have genders, they usually have male/female bodytypes so I'm considering Stone Free to be female. She was soon followed by the DX of her stand user, Jolyne Kujo (who is Jotaro's future daughter! Hey Jolyne, your dad is HOT! ![]() The thing is, the (relatively) few female characters I like in anime aren't really the type of fanservicey characters that tend to get figure releases. Female characters I'd love to buy (in normal, non-cheesecake-y poses, it goes without saying): Any/all the women from Kuragehime (Jellyfish Princess), not to mention Kuranosuke in drag; "Cherry Boy Hunter" Sonoshee McLaren from Redline (and heck, how about a Sweet JP & Trava too?); Balsa from Moribito; Haruko Haruhara from FLCL; Integra from Hellsing; Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club; Yoko from Twelve Kingdoms; and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. That's my wishlist off the top of my head. Let's just say I won't hold my breath, and not just because most of these shows are more than a year old already. I do wish I'd gotten into collecting earlier so as to snag this version of Alice from Pumpkin Scissors before it got impossibly OOP (as opposed the lame-ass Alice figure where you can remove her skirt and she's fighting in her underwear. I mean sweet Jesus, people, this is not that kind of show. Way to take an otherwise ambitious, capable female character and reduce her to panties and thigh highs. ![]() Hey, did I mention Lady Robin? Oh, wait... ![]() |
