Looks like they're really going to take quite a bit more time than expected in order to finally wrap this up, but I'm not particularly bothered. After all, Gundam Unicorn has been selling very well for Bandai. I'd say that clearly justifies deciding to make an extra episode instead of possibly rushing the last chapter, as certain people had feared.

Yay, more UC. Six episodes did seem pretty short... well, not by long-length OVA standards, but the story has been pretty entertaining so far.

Another Episode? Why not, I mean 6 Episodes in general is rather short but adding another one makes sense as the story has not quite picked up yet, We´re only half way through right now it seems so adding another one is very logical inmo.

Also, Having a total of 7 episodes, for me seems like a better overall amount of episodes than 6.

There are 10 volumes in all, and some were 2-part, so theres really 8 "stories". And lets say they shave off some filler or condense a few parts, there should be just enough for 7 episodes.

Heres the list. All of the titles correspond to the episode that was based on them.

Episodes of Gundam UC have covered two of Fukui's books before, so this doesn't seem necessary at a glance. There are about four left (Black Unicorn, The Sky in the Stars, parts 1 and 2 of Over the Rainbow). It could be they're animating extra storyl, or maybe the remaining novels just have a lot more material.

The delay makes me sad, but it's not the first time and I've waited this long. Better for them to do it well than rush it.

I am okay with another Gundam UC episode. I just hope the "near future" is not 2 or 3 years from now. I am really enjoying this series and can't wait for volume 5 to arrive.

Hell yes. Only better news I could have hoped for was AGE being scrapped and Sunrise moving on to Gundam Origins, but this will do!

fixed since origin was green lighted like a year ago and probably will be a OVA like unicorn. anyway from what i saw of unicorn it was a good series and i really should catch up on it later.

On the one hand, I'm a little annoyed because these things are expensive and I'd already planned my anime-purchasing budget around 6 episodes of Gundam Unicorn, like they told us there would be.

On the other hand, I'm super stoked because it's more GUNDAM UNICORN!!

Well more of Unicorn and for better story and animation is always welcomed. Actually my friend who read the novels told me before that he thinks a movie will be made after eps 6 since it might cover all the novels. I guess he kinda guessed right.

They're at the point where they're going to divert from the novels. Already the OVA Banshee is different from novel Banshee, and the way the novels ended the story left a bad taste in people's mouths from what I remember reading.
