Besides ANN, where do people that visit the website read manga reviews on the web?

www.themanime.org is run by a married couple who used to post on this messboard, years back. They're intelligent and have good writing skills, but in my view are solipsistic and have little grasp of real critical analysis.
Full disclosure: they booted me off their messboard after a day, then stickied the offending thread as a warning to other would-be dissenters. |

I'm thinking of geting kare kano graphic novel. I have kare Kano anime and I think is excellent but not not sure if the manga is going to be just as good or better. Is there any thing in the manga that they didn't put in the anime?

usually, I think manga is made before anime, so yeah, I think there will be things here ad there left out. Then again, I never saw or read Kare Kano (wish I had... never enough money....) so I shouldn't say anything.

Yep. There's A LOT they didn't put in the anime, since the manga is still continuing. They did a pretty good job of animating the first 7 volumes of manga, but right now there's up to volume 15 out in Japan. The latter half delves into Arima's past, so it gets darker compared to the first half. Personally, I think the manga is much better than the anime. If you want to know what happens AFTER the anime ends, the manga series is a must-read. |

Yeah, I get a kick out of how the male of that couple on THEM calls himself a bishounen and routinely draws himself being about 30 pounds less than he actually is.

Oops! The other thing about THEManime is that they review anime. Not manga, at least not so much. But Isaacada1 was asking for manga reviews in the manga section of the board. What was I drinking when I posted that? And can I have some more?

Thanks for the links CynicHybrid. You had two of them I was unfamiliar with.
Keep posting links to sites such as this. I very much appreciate it. Cheers Isaac |

I found a manga review site. Looks like they review mostly shoujo manga.

It's interesting noting how many anime review sites there are on the web vs. manga sites.

I think you might have posted the wrong link, because the link is broken. |
