I was wondering if anyone could tell me if getting the "perfect collection" is worth it? In buying a perfect collection would I be missing out on anything that I might have seen on the seperate DVDs?

Mainly in the Perfect Collection you will get every extra supposed to a smaller one where you will get much fewer extras.
episodes are the same and shit. might be more someone else can say. |

Maybe when someone mentions the name of the series, we can be a little more helpful.

Er...sorry about that. I should have been more clear.
Im looking at the Bubblegum Crisis series and noticed a "perfect collection". I've seen these collections for other series so I was wondering what the deal with them was and I assumed it was a industry wide "set" of rules when it comes to them. So a "perfect collection" of a series dosent mean anything but "all the episodes"? I was worried Id get a edited version or be missing out on so of the extras that came with the seperate DVDs. Thanks for the replys. |

I was thinking maybe Cowboy Bebop, in which case the 3 disk set you see on eBay called the "Perfect Collection" is bootlegged, unless it's on 6 disks and costs several hundred dollars.
I don't know about Bubblegum Crisis... did AnimEigo ever sell that on individual DVDs? AnimEigo, a "poor" company, is usually fairly skimpy on the extras (I don't mind, as long as the price of the disks is low), so I wouldn't worry. |

In the case of Bubblegum Crisis, that's just what they call the box sets. So it's just all the single DVDs in one set.

The Perfect Collection has everything from what I know of and if you are going to get it, go to www.half.com. I have been getting my anime from there, its really about 1/3 cheaper. With things tlike the PErfect Collection, makes a huge difference.

The Bubblegum Crisis 2040 Perfect collection is done by ADV, and is a 6 disc boxset-like thing. Its a lot cheaper than buying the individual dvd's or whatever.

I can confer this, there is no 3 disk Cowboy Beboy "Perfect Collection", however you should be aware that you might see the 2 disk Best Sessions remakes mislabeled as a "Perfect Collection" |

... which, of course, is only a selection of episodes, and not all 26... ... so if you see a 2-disc 26-episode set labeled "Best Sessions" then you know it's not legit... |
