Aww, no Junkers, from Junkers Come Here? Densuke, from Dennō Coil? Would Mai-HiME's Duran count?
For the new season, Tamayura has my vote. |

Damn, Tobimaru from Sword of the Stranger wasn't on the list.

Ein is 8th? Really?
First thought going in to this was "Ein is going to be number one." I don't know why but I never think of Menchi as a dog; always think of her as a cat. A bit obscure, but I can't help but mention A Dog of Flanders, Patrasche. And it's just me, but I would have listed Super Gal's inclusion of Hachiko. (which would be incredibly debatable and completely for laughs. Gia is much more professional than I, luckily.) I feel I'm looking forward to Kimi to Boku for odd reasons as well as promptly dropping Bento after the first episode. |

I'd take Chuck from Panty and Stocking over all those dogs combined.

Since you are what you eat (and thus excrete), this should count:

Mennnnnnchiiiiiiiiiiii!
Menchi and Pedro the Immigrant Worker are the best parts of Excel Saga. The abuse fostered upon that poor animal is so over the top cruel it is hilarious. If I ever get a dog, I will name him after this character. Poll Question: Shana III. Not that I think it will be the best show this season (that's Boku ha Tomodachi ga Sukunai) but because I am dying to see how the story will end. |

My mind immediately went to Souichiro-san, Kyoko's dog in Maison Ikkoku. He was such a big, lovable dog, always there for Kyoko when she needed love, always ready to torment Mitaka.

I prefer Buddy, the dog from Nichijou who gives you a pat when bad things happen to you and also from Nichijou, Mai's dogs since they're also trolls like their master.

What o Mr. Tadakichi from Azumanga Daioh? Well, I guess Menchi made up for that! I want a Menchi to be my emergency food supply!

I was a little disappointed not to see Pakkun from Naruto on the list, but I guess Gia was trying to avoid using more than one dog from a series. If that was the case, then Akamaru was the better choice between the two. Pakkun is cool (he talks, after all!), but Akamaru has some neat little quirks of his own.

Yeah, Ein should have been #1. Honestly, after episode 13, I don't remember Black Hayate doing anything that noteworthy, but it's been a while since I watched the original anime.
Not sure why I'd want to adopt Sadahara, he'd be expensive to feed and I'd lose even more money paying the constant hospital bills from the times he'll bite my head...... |

Gin and Friender would be awesome!
Ah, since "Vesperia" became an anime, can Repede be included? ;p |
