While at some times lacking in exposition, this series none the less accomplishes significant thematic development. The deeply philosophical overtones were balanced such that they did not become monotonous or corny but rather struck a resonance with the viewer. Casshern Sins has the two marks of a great series: striking that emotional resonance with the audience and creating an immersive setting populated with believable characters. Truly, it was a deeply affecting series. |

This series sure is ambitious. However, it often comes off as it trying too hard. The directors or screenwriters or whatever know what the audience wants and try to pump the series with lots of suspense, drama, action, etc. But it doesn't flow well at times, it's exactly what the viewer wants but it feels jerky and unnatural. However, sometimes the series gets things moving smoothly and it's at those times that this series really shines. It's overall amazing and has a feel to it that i've never seen before. Although, that said Leouch is obviously a Light Yagami/ Darth Vader ripoff. Light in personality. Darth Vader in looks (well his Zero outfit anyway). |

every episode ended in a cliffhanger, it made you want more. I won't spoil the ending but i will state my belief that in the last episode Leouch cunningly fooled everyone, even Suzaku. |

My personal favorite anime of all time. even the side stories have the same quality as some of the best animes of all. And for those hopeful Winry x Ed fans, all i can say is that whether it would have worked out or not, there was not enough room in this already loaded series for romance and FMA doesn't need romance to be the best anyway. |

In the effort to not spoil the series I would just say this, the only reason I dislike this series at all is because the ending went against just about every theme of the series and, subsequently, pissed me off. Gurren Lagann is still one of the best anime out there though. |

It's a real shame that there aren't more anime like this one. It's so calm and yet deeply profound. I would say that every episode is like an entire series by itself, its that involved. Don't expect too much of this series in terms of over-arching plot but this show rewards the viewer regardless. fans of this show might also try kino's journey although i liked Mushi-Shi more. |

Everyone has probably heard of this series. It is a must see for any anime fan. Although impressions vary. Some will say it's the deepest and most depraved show of all time. Others will say it's complete crap. Most will agree with the latter view but salute this series none the less. It really is actually a normal series up until just after halfway through after that.......Well the best way to sum up the rest of the series is "mind rape". |
