posted on by Alex Mateo
Kodansha's Magazine Pocket manga app revealed on Thursday that Tsuina Miura and Takahiro Ōba's High-Rise Invasion (Tenkū Shinpan) manga is spawning a sequel. The sequel will be serialized in the Magapoke app. The story will feature new areas and characters.
The original High-Rise Invasion manga concluded on DeNA's Manga Box app on March 28 and on the Manga Box website on Thursday.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in omnibus volumes, and it describes the story:
On the roof of a high-rise building, a young girl named Yuri witnesses a masked figure split a man's head open with an axe! It's not exactly an everyday occurrence for a high schooler, but things only get weirder from there. Yuri soon finds herself in a strange world of skyscrapers with only two options for escape—fight past the mysterious masked figures or leap to her death!
Miura and Ōba launched the manga on DeNA's Manga Box app in December 2013. Kodansha published the manga's 19th compiled book volume on January 9 and will publish the 20th compiled book volume on Tuesday. Seven Seas Entertainment published the manga's third omnibus volume on December 31. Latest chapters of the manga are also available in English digitally on Manga Box's English website.
