Wai-Con 2013 on this Weekend in Perth!

Kyle Hebert is a voice actor most famously known for his role as the adult Gohan and the Narrator of Dragon Ball Z. While he started as a radio announcer on Radio Disney, in 2005 Kyle changed cities and careers moving from Dallas to Los Angeles to pursue voice acting. He is known for his roles at Kamina in Gurren Lagann, Ryuji "Bon" Suguro in Blue Exorcist, Kiba Inuzuka from Naruto Shippūden and Ryu from Street Fighter IV. Kyle will be hosting the Video Game Acting panel on Saturday at 10:00am in the Panels Room (M6), be at Dragon Ball Z with Kyle and Kara on Saturday at 12:00pm in the Riverside Theatre and running DragonBald: A Dragonball: Evolution Roast on Sunday at 3:00pm in the Panels Room (M6).
Kara Edwards started work for Radio Disney alongside Kyle Hebert in the late 1990's in the "Squeege and Kara" show. While working for Disney, Kara auditioned for Dragon Ball Z and was cast in the role of Lime and later young Goten. She has starred in Chaos;HEAd as Kozue Orihara, Heaven's Lost Property as Nymph and SoltyRei as Celica Yayoi. Kara will be co-hosting Dragon Ball Z with Kyle and Kara on Saturday at 12:00pm in the Riverside Theatre, running How To Develop A Character Voice on Saturday at 3:00pm in the Panels Room (M6) and Capturing Cosplay on Sunday at 10:00am in the Panels Room (M6).
Wai-Con has become a pretty large event, so here's a few of our highlights.
- Saturday 1:30pm - Cosplay Competition. Riverside Theatre.
- Saturday 4:30pm - Theatre Screening of Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror. With thanks to Madman Entertainment. Riverside Theatre.
- Saturday 6:30pm - The Dark Room Live!: John Robertson takes the stage a year later to trap everyone within the theatre in a doom of Wai-Con's own creation. Riverside Theatre.
- Sunday 1:00pm - Cosplay Competition. Riverside Theatre.
- Sunday 3:30pm - Gyo! Tokyo Fish Attack: Australian Premiere of this Junji Ito horror story, MA15+. With thanks to Hanabee. Riverside Theatre.
- Sunday 5:00pm - Lawsuit, I Choose You! Legal Issues With Fan-made Productions: Tim Oliver takes us through his creation of the bilingual and big in Japan iPokedex and the legal ramifications involved. Workshops room.
And we will be attending the following two panels and reporting on any new acquisitions over facebook and twitter (Remember all times are AWST and there is no DST).
- Sunday 10:30am - Madman Entertainment Panel: . Riverside Theatre.
- Sunday 3:00pm - Siren Visual Panel: . Workshop Room.
In addition ANN|AU will be running a Year in Review panel at 4:00pm on Saturday in the Workshop Room.
