Japan's Animation DVD Ranking, June 27-July 3

AKB48's AKB ga Ippai ~The Best Music Video~ collection stayed at #1 for a second week. It sold 65,510 more copies for a total of 274,920. Takashi Yamazaki's live-action film adaptation of the Space Battleship Yamato anime (pictured right) also stayed at #2 for a second week by selling 23,675 copies for a new total of 79,765.
Morning Musume's Only you single video collection debuted at #24 with 2,476 copies. AKB48's Nogashita Sakana-tachi Single Video Collection added 1,260 to its 51-week total of 169,181 at #50.
The second DVD box for the live-action Korean television series adaptation of Kaoru Tada's Itazura na Kiss ~Playful Kiss~ rose to #77 in its 11th week. It added 723 copies to its total of 12,003. The first box also rose to #96 in its 14th week and added 610 copies to its total of 10,731.
The Director's Cut of the live-action special-effects film Kamen Rider W Forever A to Z Unmei no Gaia Memory dropped from #16 to #88. It sold 660 copies in its third week for a new total of 6,950. The Standard Edition DVD of Umizaru: The Last Message, the third live-action film based on Shuho Sato's manga about the Japanese Coast Guard, rose to #95 in its 13th week. It sold 619 more copies for a total of 69,926.
