Garden of Sinners' U.S. Debut in San Francisco February 5

Aniplex of America has announced that it will hold a premiere event for its release of the Kara no Kyōkai - the Garden of sinners anime films at San Francisco's New People center on February 5. Hikaru Kondo, the anime's executive producer and the president of the animation studio ufotable, and producer Atsuhiro Iwakami will attend the event, which will include a discussion panel with the producers.
Aniplex will screen the first, second, and seventh movie in the seven-film series at the event to promote the February 8 Blu-ray box set release of all seven films. New People will open the doors at 1:00 p.m, and the first film will begin screening at 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost US$15 for the entire event and are available for purchase at the New People World website.
The films, released in Japan between December 2007 and August 2009, revolve around Shiki Ryougi, an amnesiac girl who has the ability to see the lines of mortality on living beings. She works for a small independent agency to solve supernatural and horrific mysteries.
