An Café Visual-Kei Band to Suspend Activities in 2010
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese visual kei rock group An Café (Antic Cafe) has announced on its official website on Monday that it will suspend its activities after a live concert at Tokyo's Budōkan arena on January 4, 2010. The announcement indicates that the group will return after its members "recharge" during the hiatus. An Café performed at the FanimeCon event in Northern California last year, and toured California again for three concerts this past April.
An Café performed "Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero Without A Name~," the second opening theme song to the Darker than Black anime series. The group also performed "Ryūsei Rocket" ("Comet Rocket"), the opening theme to the live-action drama adaptation of Masami Kurumada's Fuuma no Kojirou manga. Since the group formed in 2003, it has released three regular albums, three mini-albums, and over a dozen singles.
